A few years ago, the 1.6-L turbocharged V6 was introduced. In the coming years, there’s a commitment to use sustainable fuels and at the same time preserve the thrill at the heart of the sport.

Lewis Hamilton

Cooper DuBois Portland Racer believes that Hamilton will put one of the most outstanding performances.

Since 2007, he has been breaking records and winning races. In 2021, the Mercedes team looks like the one to beat.

Fernando Alonzo

Since the early 2000s, Michael Schumacher has been the undisputed king of the F1 formula. But Fernando was the man who dethroned the king. It takes a competent racer to get the Ferrari legend from the throne.

Fernando is fiercely competitive. His performances in Formula One are characterized by brilliant tactical thinking, blistering speed, razor-sharp eye, good race craft, and determination to win.

Fernando had fantastic success at the Renault team despite his spells at Ferrari and McLaren.

Nicholas Latifi

Nicholas is a Toronto native who is now a fully-fledged racing driver. He began showing interest in racing 11 years ago and has now earned a spot in the top category.

Nicholas took his first race in 2017 (Renault team) but later joined the Willis family in 2019. His insightful attitude and pleasant flavor made him emerge as one of the best in the 2020 season.

In 2021, all eyes are on him, and he’s ready to prove he is one of the best drivers in the world.

Charles Leclerc

Leclerc has showcased the dazzling driving skills that earned him victories. His car caught fire twice in Silverstone but found his way through the pack. Some renowned world champions (Sebastian and Lewis Hamilton) say Leclerc is the real deal in F1 racing. Keep in mind, these two never agree on anything.

Alpha Romeo Racing

The history of Alfa Romeo dates back to the 1950s. It helped to nurture the merging talents of F1 like Heinz-Harald Frentzen, Michael Schumacher, and Peter Sauber.

The team has established itself as the mainstay of the grid (under BMW brief ownership). It has earned a reputation for producing competitive cars and developing young drivers.

Aston Martin Cognizant Team

Aston Martin’s original formula 1 lasted for five races. In 2021, the four-time champion is leading the race, so this is a team to watch in 2021. Sebastian Vettel now replaces Sergio Perez.

McLaren

Since it entered the sport in 1966, McLaren has been under the guidance of Bruce. For five decades, the team has yielded countless victories, podiums, and championships.

Some of the most excellent drivers are Ayton Senna, Lewis Hamilton, Emerson Fittipaldi, and Mikka Hakkinen. We expect to see Daniel Ricardo and Lando Norris this year in action.

Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team

The Mercedes F1 team started with the creation of a squad in 2010. After the return of Nico Rosberg, the team claimed victory in 2012. It remains a dominant force in F1 – a hard team to beat.

Abu Dhabi Grand Prix F1 Racing

We are now on the last stretch of the 2021 F1 season. Last weekend, Hamilton won the Saudi Arabia GP. He set up the fastest lap that put him on the same level as Max Verstappen.

In the quest for titles, there was a tussle between the contenders. Max was slapped with a 5-second penalty for going off track and was forced to defend his lead to Hamilton.

Hamilton was also given a 10-second penalty for erratic braking. The two crashed on turn 27 and had had a tie.

Cooper DuBois Portland racer believes anyone can carry the day. Whoever comes first will be crowned the winner of the 2021 race.

The free practice lap will be on 10th Dec while the qualifying match will be on Saturday. The actual race will be held on Sunday 12th Dec.

The 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Pix race will take place on the 5.2KM Yas Marina Circuit.

SOVREN is an acronym that stands for the Society Of Vintage Racing Enthusiasts. SOVREN is a non-profit racing organization based in Seattle, Washington, whose members come from Washington, California, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, and British Columbia. Their members, including Cooper DuBois Portland CEO of Truly Social Games, are owners or admirers of vintage sports cars with racing histories.

The idea for SOVREN began with Porsche enthusiast Dick Mattei in 1985 when he determined that a vintage racing organization would do well in the Pacific Northwest. For their first meeting in 1986, almost 100 vintage car enthusiasts were on hand, with 15 of them becoming the original charter members. Initially, the club was designed to include both racing and touring. However, it was quickly discovered that the members preferred wheel-to-wheel competition. In 1989, SOVREN held their first Pacific Northwest Historics at Seattle International Raceway with 59 cars.

In 1990, 68 cars participated in the event, and it was decided that the $7500 raised would be gifted to Seattle’s Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center. In the years that followed, SOVREN has worked closely with the SOVREN Guild and the Historics to raise millions of dollars, with most going to Seattle Children’s Hospital for uncompensated care. So for vintage car drivers like Cooper DuBois Portland residents and enthusiasts of all ages, these racing events are fun and charitable ways to enjoy their passion.

For the first race of the 2021 SOVREN season, a three-day event starts Friday, April 23, at the Pacific Raceways. The event is called the Spring Sprints, and the schedule for Friday is designed for novices to get a feel for the racing competitions and for the returning racers to reacquaint themselves to the racing circuit with the Test-N-Tune. Following that, Saturday and Sunday are two full days of racing for participants. Although this is a non-spectator event, drivers and members always enjoy the season opener. Cooper DuBois Portland resident will participate in Group 1 Vintage and Small Bore Production category in his silver and maroon 1962 Chevrolet Corvette.
